Fw: Packaging games from Parallel Realities in GNU/Linux distributions

Hi,

Here's a summary (more at games@lists.freedesktop.org archives):

- clarified that all game data _made by_ Parallel Realities is GPL'd
  despite the notice on their website

- confirmed that all their sounds and musics (not made by PR) have
  unknown origin and should be considered non-Free

- some graphics are not free either: all StarFighter graphics, and
  maybe some Blob and Conquer textures

=> A few immediate conclusions:

- graphics from StarFighter are non-free, and people didn't volunteer
  to replace them (nor the sounds) since last year, so the package
  need to be RM'd

- Blob Wars DFSG currently does not have non-free data unlike what I
  first though

- Blob and Conquer textures need to be clarified, maybe Guus has an
  idea of which may be non-free?

=> A few questions:

- Is somebody maintaining Virus Killer? If yes, sounds and musics
  need to be stripped. If not, maybe we can RM it too.

- Guus, did you ever consider joining the Games Team? :)

Cheers!

Great! Thanks for these precisions.

We'll point fellow packagers to this conversation if they have a
doubt. You might want to add it too at
http://www.parallelrealities.co.uk/about/
in case they look there first :)
