Hmm, interesting. Looks free enough to me.

Might be good to make it a proper shared library instead of embedding
the same code in each project and having to fix stuff multiple times.
Perhaps all the upstream projects that embed it could create a new
savannah/alioth/sf.net/gna/launchpad project to maintain it in.
Do you know which other programs embed it?
