   * post-0.980 update.  Fixes the following problems:
   * Trying to view granted privileges or an inactive database can cause
     the error Can't call method 'prepare' on unblessed reference to appear.
   * Trying to create a database can fail with the error CREATE DATABASE:
     may not be called in a transaction block
