* Finally, debconf support is here!!! This is just a first try and
I am sure there are hidden bugs all over the place since I had to
touch lots of files and the conversion from the old configuration
method is complex. Uploading to experimental for now.
* Changes:
- debian/control:
+ Make samba depend on debconf.
- New file debian/samba.templates.
- New file debian/samba.config.
- Re-worked debian/samba.postinst.
+ Got rid of all /etc/samba/debian_config sillyness.
- Removed /usr/sbin/sambaconfig; "dpkg-reconfigure samba" replaces
it.
- Removed debian/samba.prerm.
- Cleaned up /etc/init.d/samba.
+ Added infrastructure for debconf.
+ Got rid of all /etc/samba/debian_config sillyness.
+ Got rid of /etc/samba/smbpasswd conversion stuff for
compatibility with versions of Samba < 2.0.0final-2.
- Many others I am sure I forgot.
* I'll go through a few iterations and once the samba package has
solid debconf support I'll continue adding debconf support to the
other packages, although I think only swat and perhaps smbmount
require debconf support.
