Source: ffingerd
Binary: ffingerd
Architecture: source i386
Version: 1.25-2.1
Distribution: frozen
Urgency: low
Maintainer: Josip Rodin <jrodin@jagor.srce.hr>
Description:
ffingerd - A secure finger daemon
Closes: 64366
Changes:
 ffingerd (1.25-2.1) frozen; urgency=low
 .
   * NMU approved by the maintainer, to fix the RC bug in the frozen version,
and rewrite the maintainer scripts to use update-inetd properly.
   * s/ffingerd/tcpd/ twice in the update-inetd command lines in postinst,
     closes: #64366.
   * Added Depends: netbase because of inetd (xinetd also depends on it so
     it's not a problem).
   * Postinst fixes:
     + do everything if "$1" = "configure".
+ adds a proper xinetd.conf entry, and does xinetd.conf changes even
though inetd.conf exists (since that is the normal situation).
+ since update-inetd sends a SIGHUP to inetd after modifying, don't do
       it manually when not necessary.
+ doesn't display kill usage message if by any chance {x,}inetd
       aren't running.
+ removed extra `exit 0' invocations since then the FHS doc symlinks
       wouldn't be made.
     + don't mangle user-modified inetd.conf entries (those commented out
with a single `#' character)! Instead use `#<ffingerd>#' as the
character with which old things are commented out.
   * Prerm fixes:
+ comments out the inetd.conf entry only on upgrade, and also uses
       `#<ffingerd>#' as the comment-char.
   * Added postrm script to remove the ffingerd entry on removal (or purge),
along with a warning for people who are using xinetd.
   * Fixed first sentence of the copyright file to say which package it is,
and who and when made it.
   * Used distclean in debian/rules clean rule, as it cleans better. Patched
upstream Makefile.in to not screw up distclean with the dummy Makefile.
