Closes: 61216 61645
Changes:
 postgresql (6.5.3-17) frozen; urgency=low
 .
   * Added NAME sections to manual pages catalogs.3 and libpq.3.
     Closes: 60476 60479
   * Ensured that postmaster is saved for use by postgresql-dump, by
linking postgres to it in debian/get_old_bins.inc
   * New scheme for easing future upgrades: prerm will save the database
structure into the pg_dumpall directory. This will ensure that the
dump is already done for the new version; it is done provided that
$1 of the prerm command is not `failed-upgrade'. If this dump is found,
the postinst of the new package (version 7.0 onwards) can do a pg_upgrade
(provided that the versions are sufficiently compatible).
     Closes: bug#61645
   * For those occasions when an upgrade is not possible, the prerm will now
save the necessary binaries ready for the next release to do a dump
and reload. This and the above change should greatly improve the
 	 upgrade path to release 7.
   * Fixed bug in pg_wrapper (linked to psql) so that command line options
such as `-F:' no longer get passed through as `-F -F:'. Closes: bug#61216
   * Modified postgresql-startup which incorrectly associated the port to
listen on with whether TCP/IP connections were enabled. The two
should be, and now are, independent.
   * postgresql-dump now correctly sets and exports PGDATESTYLE before
     starting the postmaster.
