can this be disabled in ~/.vimrc?

text-mode programs which use the mouse make it difficult to use the
mouse for the purpose that the gods intended (cut & paste with left,
right, and middle buttons). having to remember to press shift every time
you want to cut and paste sucks...it upsets the natural order of things
and is a blasphemy against all that is good and right in the world. :)

if it cant be disabled, then please consider this a wishlist bug report
to make it do so.
