FYI, the "clean" target doesn't remove the Makefile in the shared-perl
dir, which breaks compilation on archs other than i386.  Also, can you
change the hardcoded "libc6" dependency in the control file to "libc6 |
libc6.1"?  Alpha uses libc6.1 (don't ask) and it's needed for us to be
able to install the package.
