     Boot loader
       - LARGE_EBDA no longer shrinks load area (by Josef Moellers)
       - pointer to boot command line was wrong when using LARGE_EBDA (fixed by
         Josef Moellers)
       - added support for extended BIOS with EDD (Enhanced Disk Drive Support)
     Map installer
       - partition type "DOS16_big" defaulted to PART_HDOS16_SMALL when hidden
         (fixed by Jonathan Tse)
       - now prints a big warning message if an attempt to create or refresh the
         installation failed for some reason (suggested by Adrian Bridgett)
       - now adds "(please use  make bzImage )" after "Kernel is too big"
       - some command-line options set the flag and called cfg_set
       - added support for Compaq Smart/2 disk array controllers (based on a patch
         by Chris Frantz)
       - map section start was always printed in 3D format, even if using LINEAR
         (verbosity > 2)
       - environment variable LILO_INST_ROOT should now be used instead of ROOT
         (suggested by Marc Merlin)
       - chain loader didn't compile with LCF_READONLY (reported by Sacha xxx)
       - lilo -q  now checks validity and compatibility of the boot sector before
         trying to interpret its content
       - geo_find returned "success" on failure (so lilo -q may not have noticed
         some inconsistencies)
     Documentation and installation
       - removed chain.old.S, test.c, and lilo.lsm from the distribution
       - changed mkdist to avoid wildcards
       - changed QuickInst to use LILO_INST_ROOT instead of ROOT
       - updated documentation from LaTeX 2.0 to LaTeX 2e
       - LARGE_EBDA is now enabled by default
