postgresql (6.5.1-4) unstable; urgency=low
.
* Upstream patch to fix bug in COALESCE().
* Increased mutual dependencies from 6.4 to 6.5.1.
* Applied patch from Jim Pick <jim@jimpick.com> to postgresql-dump to cope
with the case that there are no options to pass to the backend; in which
case, -o '' caused a problem. Closes bug #42169.
* Upstream patch to stop users' being created with rights to update
system tables; and to allow users without such rights to create
temporary tables. Consequent changes to createuser to check that
the current user has rights to change the system tables and that any
user created with createuser rights also has rights to change system
tables. Also change postinst script to remove existing rights to
change system tables from all users except superusers.
* Ensured that all of /usr/lib/postgresql/test is owned by postgres, so
that the regression tests can be run.
* Added Debian.README file to /usr/doc/postgresql-test, to explain how to
run the regression test suite. These changes close bug#37898.
* Fixed postgresql-dump so that it no longer believes that
$PGDATA/../db.save is under $PGDATA. Closes bug#42290
* Changed postinst script to prompt for datestyle in line with the
expectations of postgresql-startup
