Uploads "to quake" from me ... * This was not uploaded to experimental or potato, it was uploaded to "quake", which is in http://www.debian.org/~knghtbrd If someone has a real issue with these going to -devel-changes, I'll just send them to quake-maint. * The packages in quake are possibly going to be newer than those in the archive. Of the packages currently in the mini-archive, only pak/gtkpak have been uploaded to potato (of course they've been in incoming for weeks but they are a new package after all) (non-)release notes for this version of quake packages ... * They won't build from source. The shlibs file uses the libfoo . depends format I proposed on -policy this morning. Either we'll agree it's a good idea and I'll leave it or we'll argue about it forever and I'll make it do the depends the hard way if anybody else is building the package. * ALL of the glquake packages require glide at the moment pending discussion of the new quake wrapper. * I really would appreciate reports of success or failure of the glquake packages reported to quake-maint (not -devel-changes !) I think glquake can ge used X or console even though it claims to be a console thing, please try it out and let me know. * glquake-glx will eventially not require glide at all and will be able to use libGL.so.1 like quake2/3 do. * this will be the last release notes type message to -devel-changes, I just decided to send it there this time so people don't have to ask where to find the quake archive (since nobody manages to read all of -devel) On Sat, Jul 31, 1999 at 06:20:21AM -0700, Joseph Carter wrote: > Format: 1.6 > Date: Sat, 31 Jul 1999 00:42:25 -0700 > Source: quake > Binary: glquake-3dfxgl xquake quake-glide-libs glquake-glx glquake squake > Architecture: source i386 > Version: 1.09-1.30-2pre3 > Distribution: unstable > Urgency: low > Maintainer: Joseph Carter <knghtbrd@debian.org> > Description: > glquake - This is glquake > glquake-3dfxgl - This is glquake > glquake-glx - This is glquake > quake-glide-libs - libraries for using Quake with Glide > squake - 3d action game, the successor to Doom.
