Source: pam-apps
Binary: pam-apps
Architecture: source i386
Version: 1.01
Distribution: unstable
Urgency: low
Maintainer: Ben Collins <bcollins@debian.org>
Description:
 pam-apps - Pluggable Authentication Module enabled applications
Closes: 36539 37158 37240 37492 37624 38318 38655 38779
Changes:
 pam-apps (1.01) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * Major build cleanup
     - Changed .-c files to normal .c with their own includes so they can
       be compiled as self standing objects.
     - apps/inc is now compiled as libinc.a to link with the applications.
   * Major code cleanups
     - Got rid of most of the uneeded D(()) calls for useless debugging
     - Simplified much of the code
     - Quick run with indent
     - Fixed lots of compiler warnings
   * Fixed RHOST addr lookup when it wasn't actually a host (the "-" case)
   * Fixed case where su would fail if calling user was not root and there
     was no controlling terminal. Now only fails if this is a login su
     (su - <user>).
   * Fixed arg[0] to be the basename of the shell and not the full shell
     name for login and su. Brings login and su closer to expected behavior
     of the shadow applications they replace.
   * Updates to the README and debian/control files
   * Fixed error when passing your own user name to passwd when not root
   * Added proctitle support to login so that after the shell is invoked,
     it shows in ps as "login[user]". This helps to identify the state of
     the login program. NOTE: login stays active after invoking the shell
     in order to support PAM's ability to cleanup after the shell exits.
     Some modules like to be able to clean up things like credentials after
     the user had logged out (pam_krb comes to mind).
   * closes: #38655, #38779, #37240, #36539, #37158, #37492, #37624, #38318
