     I plan to release it as libpng-1.0.3 in a
     few days, but would like to hear whether it
     fixes the problems with GNOME.
     It restores a few lines of code that were
     inadvertently deleted from pngread.c, which
     seems to be the cause of problems with adding
     an alpha channel (which you fixed by downgrading
     to libpng-1.0.1's pngread.c)."
