Since i haven't heard any objections against taking over the package,
but in fact a few encouragements by various people, i have dared to
announce myself as new official maintainer unless somebody vehemently
protests. Unfortunately i've not received any positive or negative
statements from the former official maintainer Fernando Alegre
although i mailed him last year when i stepped forward with my intent
to take MC.
