with libc5 ... need to link statically to libdb.a to avoid
future problems when _true_ db2 will be installed.
* oops, in 55 (libc6) pager was left undefined (#14862, sigh)
* oops, missing accessdb as promised :-)
* changed tests on closed streams to detect more conditions.
