Uploaded guile 1.2-3 (source i386) to master
This is a version of guile which does work with gnome. Yay!
One trick - you will want to do this before running gnome:
$ GNOMEDIR=/usr
$ export GNOMEDIR
The last version was compiled with thread support (at the request of
Ben) - but his gnome package wasn't compiled with threads. So that
was the source of the problems (we must have got our wires crossed).
It took me a long time to figure out why I couldn't get gnome to compile
here -- it turned out I had an ancient version of gtk in /usr/local.
Sheesh. I must have wasted a day on that. :-)
Cheers,
- Jim
