Dear Debian community,
I apologise for my misleading message to debian-devel-announce.
I apologise to the ftpmaster team for misrepresenting them.
The background is that while ftpmaster do not feel it best to call
for volunteers at this time, I don't agree with that. But I failed
to think through the implications. I should have completely
rewritten that part of the Bits.
I realise that my behaviour has damaged ftpmasters' trust in me, and
caused further stress for a team which is already under significant
pressure. In future I will be very clear about the distinction between
what is my opinion and what is an agreed opinion of a team or other
group.
