The deadline for registering your attendance at DebConf16 if you
want to request food, accommodation or travel bursaries
(sponsorship) is next Sunday 10 April 2016.
Hurry up!
Debconf 16 will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from
Saturday, 2 July to Saturday, 9 July 2016. It will be preceded by 9
days of DebCamp, from Thursday, 23 June to Friday, 1 July 2016.

In the past, we have had contributors being too shy about this, and
deciding that they were not worth being sponsored. If you are in
doubt, please apply and let the bursaries team decide for you.
All kinds of contributors are welcome at DebConf and can apply for
sponsorship: long-time, very active developers, but also new
contributors that could use that opportunity to strengthen their
links in the Debian community.
DebConf is a diverse conference and we welcome people who help us
make it more so. Please don't hesitate to contact us at
outreach@debian.org if you want to know more. We do even have
dedicated funds available to support diversity.
If you are planning to give a talk or organize some kind of event at
DebConf, please submit your proposal as soon as possible too [4].
