Second Bug-Squashing Party results

Hello,
Two days late, here's a summary of the results for last weekend's
Bug-Squashing Party.

Again we worked during the whole weekend, starting on Friday evening and
officially stopping on Sunday night.

I have inaccurately counted 120 fixed bugs during the party, plus a very
long list of comments, patches and analisys for the remaining bugs.
On Friday there was a lot of activity, but as the easier bugs got fixed,
the NMU's started to be less and less, and on Sunday little work was
done compared to the other days.
This means that if we prepare a new party, many hard bugs will remain,
so skilled people would be needed (specially for porting issues on
non-i386 arches).

One highlight was that all packages in Debian should be using the new
app-defaults location by now, so you will get a symlink from the old dir
on your next X upgrade.

About participation, it was pleasing to see that many people
participated this time too. I guess I'll be calling for a 3rd party
soonish, in about three weeks. I wonder if we should do it one-day
only, during a Saturday, or keep it during the whole weekend, so tell me
what you'd prefer. Also, people suggested that Bug Parties should target
bugs older than two years [1] and packages with old Standard-Versions
(<< 3.0.0) too.

You'll find some details about the fixes/comments for each bugs in the
previous location:
http://people.debian.org/~jordi/STATUS and
http://people.debian.org/~jordi/FIXED.

Ah, if you wonder why there are 311 RC bugs [2] still if we fixed more
than 100, the answer is simple: we're getting 20 or more new bugs each
day, so it's difficult to make the numbers go down.

Thanks again for your participation!

Jordi
