it did for me - it generated a new host key...which caused predictable
problems when logging in to remote hosts with RSA Auth.
when i reverted to ssh-nonfree, a bug in the postinst script nuked my old
host key and generated a new one.
i've had to log in to all the machines i can remember and edit
.ssh/known_hosts...fortunately, i've got a good memory for passwords.
