Nargh. Don't bother. Try 'make depend', 'make dep', 'make deps', or
something like that. If all else fails, do a 'make distclean' and then
remake it - it's probably just stale dependencies. If you say 'grep
bytesex * .*' you'll likely find that it's only referenced in some
mysteriously named file which only contains lists of header
files. Clobber it/them.
