Aha! But you shouldn't name things like /usr/bin/panel if you expect
to standardize things between KDE and GNOME. This is an important
point, because the GNOME panel will already be called /usr/bin/panel
and you'll have to name the standard something else.
The current GNOME packages really encroach on namespace. I think it's
rather poor policy, if you ask me.
