If you would have read about the packaging you would have found out that
qt3-examples is the package you want to use in this case.
apt-get install qt3-examples
tar xzvf /usr/share/doc/qt3-examples/qt3-examples.tar.gz
cd qt3-exmples
./build-examples
You get:
a) the code
b) build-script
c) running examples.
