I wouldn't go that far; SunOS at least has had a similar feature for ages.

/var/run on swap read/write/setuid/dev=1 on Wed May 29 22:01:19 2002
/tmp on swap read/write/setuid/dev=2 on Wed May 29 22:05:27 2002

It also has:

/etc/mnttab on mnttab read/write/setuid/dev=3dc0000 on Wed May 29 22:01:19 2002
