If I understand you, you want to e.g. have APT upgrade from wmaker
0.80.0-5 to 0.81.0-1 (or some other upstream bump), but not 0.80.0-6. My
suggestion would be to apt-get source wmaker, edit the changelog and
change the version to 0.80.0-99 or something else ridiculously high, and
then dpkg-buildpackage; dpkg -i wmaker*deb that.
