permissions of files in queue/* on auric

Hi,
What is the reason for the files in queue/* on auric being non-readable even 
for developers? I'm asking because I wanted to take a look at some packages 
in queue/new only to find out that apart from the  .changes and .katie files 
and very few exceptions all files are -rw-rw----.
