i am probably going the easy way of placing a bug note into the file
warning about an overwrite on upgrade. there's nothing to be changed
in that file anyway.

anyway, the init.d script will still be listed as a conffile of the
old package, even though it's diverted. what happens, when the old
package is updated and installs a new conffile? will it be affected by
the diversion?

or: could i divert the old file out of the way, install the new file
under different name, and then divert it onto the original file name?
