Like, find /dev -group dialout

The name dip probably comes from the name of the dip program. :)

The dip/dialout distinction is useful when you allow a user just to use the
available PPP connections, but not let them open a serial port at will.
(AFAICT)

Note also that this document about the groups should probably go into the
never-finished Debian System Administrator's Manual.
