isn't Snort broken ?
The current Snort version I have (1.7-9) has trouble with debconf.
Whenever I do a "dpkg-reconfigure snort", I end up with a
/etc/snort/snort.debian.conf that looks like this:
# This file is used for options that are changed by Debian to leave
# the original lib files untouched.
# You have to use "dpkg-reconfigure snort" to change them.
DEBIAN_SNORT_STARTUP=boot
DEBIAN_SNORT_HOME_NET="192.0.0.0/8"
DEBIAN_SNORT_OPTIONS="-A full: unknown option: unknown option: unknown
option: unknown option: unknown option: unknown option: unknown option:
unknown option: unknown option -i eth0 -o"
DEBIAN_SNORT_STATS_RCPT="lafargue"
DEBIAN_SNORT_STATS_TRESHOLD="1"
-> Obviously, something is wrong... Any idea ?
