pg_hba.conf is self-documented.
"blind trust" is:
local all trust
for UNIX socket access, or
host 127.0.0.1 255.0.0.0 trust
for TCP/IP access from localhost.
"trust" authentication means that anyone is allowed to connect as any
PostgreSQL user without authentication or restriction.
