Well, my current potato partition (which runs fine against the /usr/local
partition) is a release by release upgrade from Bo thru Potato. I probably
got the chance to say "Don't change my config file!" somewhere during the
upgrade.
My current woody partition, was constructed from scratch from Potato CDs
and then dist-upgraded using apt-get from the woody archives. If this
changed pre-potato then this explanation makes sense, as it is the woody
partition that will not run that same /usr/local partition.
Thanks for all the help from everyone. I'm still fulfilling holiday
responsibilities and will be out of touch until Sunday morning. After that
I get to work on my packages some ;-)
Thanks again guys!
Luck,
Dwarf
