Well, on the Mandrake it was just a click away. That's what impressed
me. On debian, it'll never be that easy because developers have to
*co-operate* to make such things happen (gui, kernel modules, net
configuration, h/w detection, etc...). That's what I stress, and of
course my second point is that this particular case is just an instance
of a more general problem:

Debian distribution tends to postpone usability issues to a _later time_
which hardly comes about. If people agree on what system features are
essential and easy-to-use then people can then work together to make
it happen.
