I'm still examining this problem, and I think that I'm close to a
resolution.  Note that the solution is not as easy making the libace
packages use potato's libtool.

Thanks to Roman Hodek's suggestion, this problem has been fixed in the
libtool 1.3.4-4 packages that are now in incoming.
