Please report bugs using reportbug tool, which will provide the needed
information, instead of sending 1M mail which won't make it to the
recipient.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with desktop-base, which only provide
artwork for Debian systems.

I have no idea which package is involved, I'd guess somewhere around
Xorg, or something completely unrelated like a hardware problem or
something. 

I'm not reassigning the bug for now, but please investigate on your side
which package is involved, maybe by downgrading the package one by one,
and reassign accordingly.
