the same as today: common files for the Debian Desktop.
gdm, kdm or ksplash isn't common to each DE, the artwork, icon, etc...
are common.

no, I don't want to go back in time (before desktop-base exists, KDE
packages contain the customization).
I still want to keep Debian desktop customization in a central place.
