Hello,
You could try to install "alacarte" gnome visual menu editor to easy modify
at your home user area.
If you are a sysadmin and would like to configure files for many users,
read /etc/menu/README for brief overview of instructions to override system
wide configurations.
Also, read /usr/share/doc/menu/html/index.html
