Debian derivatives census: removing old patches

Hi all,

Within the next few weeks I'll be working on the "Old patches are
not yet removed regularly" issue which you can see among limitations
listed on the patches page.

http://deriv.debian.net/patches/

The allocated storage space (500 GB) is taken up mainly by source
packages and patches. Earlier a significant amount of space was freed
after deleting large patches, but since then it has almost run out.

https://lists.debian.org/debian-derivatives/2017/04/msg00012.html

It would be possible to allocate more space but that will only mean
facing the same problem again later. Thus some policy of removing
source packages and corresponding patches is required.

I'd appreciate it if you share your ideas of how best to deal with the
problem.

Thanks!
