That is the Planet Venus software deciding based simply on the
datestamp of the posts and how many posts it is configured to keep.

The recent Tails post did show up on the site and in the RSS feed at
one point (according to my RSS reader), but the volume of posts on the
Ubuntu feeds has drowned it out. AFAIK, Planet Venus assigns each feed
an equal importance. Perhaps we should be making some changes to the
configuration[1] to change this. The options[2] appear to be remove
the Planet Ubuntu feed entirely (not something I want to do), increase
the number of items to display overall or to patch the code to add an
option for determining the minimum items per feed to be displayed.

BTW, we now have some filtering[2] in place so that advertising and
tracker images will be stripped from posts (on all of Planet Debian)
before publication.
