Package: debbugs
Severity: wishlist
File: debbugs

Hi,

I would like to have
http://bugs.debian.org/#nnnnn (nnnnn being a bugnumber)
behave exactly like
http://bugs.debian.org/nnnnn (nnnnn being a bugnumber)
and not like
http://bugs.debian.org/packagename
which of course does not yield to sensibles results.

I skimmed through the debbugs package, but the code for this
magic forwading does not seem to be in the package itself but
rather in the webserver configuration. But even without a patch
this should be trivial to fix.

The reason is that I have a galeon quick search "db" for debian
bugs that currently only works with a package name or a number
without the "#". But when I double-click on a bug reference
in a mailinglist mail like #1234567, the "#" gets selected too, and
I have to start to aim and select only the numbers. Ok, not too much
hassle, but avoidable, and nevertheless, this is a wishlist bug :-)
