Bug#34071: implementing this feature..

Hi,

I am curious how this feature can actually be implemented....debbugs keeps
all bugs on flat files right?would this mean perl has to parse a huge no of
files and build some kind of abstract data structure to represent the
concept?

well,i wonder how much the flat file concept can be stretched...i know ppl
have been violently criticized for suggesting alternate bug tracking
systems:-),but wouldn't it be nice to move up to a small embedded
database..sqlite or metakit maybe??the actual concept of debbugs need not
change,but the storage concept can...
