Thanks for the suggestion. The acknowledgement now looks something like
this:

  > tags 162304 - sid
  Bug#162304: test-o-rama
  Tags were: sid
  Tags removed: sid
  
  > tags 162304 + sid
  Bug#162304: test-o-rama
  There were no tags set.
  Tags added: sid
