Hi Otavio and list,

Some more information about the kernel mismatch. Copying and
uncompressing install/2.6/initrd.gz  show me the following:

$ strings /tmp/initrd |grep 2.6.16
Package: usb-storage-modules-2.6.16-2-486-di
Depends: ide-core-modules-2.6.16-2-486-di,
scsi-core-modules-2.6.16-2-486-di, usb-modules-2.6.16-2-486-di
Package: scsi-common-modules-2.6.16-2-486-di

scsi-core-modules-2.6.16-2-486-di, cdrom-core-modules-2.6.16-2-486-di

Actually the initrd.gz is rsync'ed from ftp.us.debian.org. Shouldn't
it be in sync and contain .17 references ?
