At least in the United States the Debian trademark is only in [1]:

    IC 009. US 021 023 026 036 038. G & S: Computer operating systems;
    Computer utility programs.

My (non-lawyer) understanding of US trademark law is that use in a
non-competing field, such as a character in a book, wouldn't be covered.
I know nothing about non-US trademark law.
