Score file analysis of Debian issues

Hello,

Please note in Tim Stoer's rogue-clone version III of bsdgames-nonfree
fame, the admittedly crude score file is broken in a magnificent way;
that there may be a sekrit message for Debian contained therein...

The total points in a won game are reckoned by adding the sum of the
'value' column in the inventory tally screen to the sum of gold pieces
collected.

The total points awarded in a lost game are reckoned as the sum of gold
pieces only, less a penalty for being killed.

In a win where gold=0, difficult to do but possible with a foolish
amount of practice, the total is reckoned to be the sum of the inventory
'value' points only.

Now, a winning sum will be recorded in the score file; the so-called
'Top Ten Rogueists' screen, only if it is higher than the highest score
recorded there before by the same user -- even if that score was merely
a tally of gold pieces from a _lost_ game. So gold pieces have value
in a sub-system that is irrelevant to winning the game!

Thanks to all those who are working on the Etch release,
Tony Rowe
