Because that is what linux on x86 counds uptime in.  0.01s ticks.  That
is why there is a 497 day uptime limit.  I may have missed a 0 while
pasting.

Oh, I should have put 497.1 days, since that is what I was using.  The
real limit is

497.102696180 days.  or 497 days 2 hours 27 minutes 52.95 seconds.
