this reminds me of my old 486 (i think it was an SX/33) which had an
40Mb hdd and some 16Mb of mem. somehow i managed to fit xmms (or at that
time x11amp) and played music from nfs shares. It didn't have X running
on itself, but the x11amp was launched to a remote screen.

i can't remember exactly which version of debian it was running, but i
think it was 1.3, or the unstable at the time of 1.3.
