Bug#904302: Whether vendor-specific patch series should be permitted in the archive

This is all good but can I suggest using the phrase `differing source
packages' rather than `different' ?  `Different' might mean source
packages with different source package name.  `Differing' more clearly
refers to source packages of the same name but which are different to
each other.
