I've already explained why this wasn't a reasonable approach in earlier
mails over the past few days. I'm fine with asking the release team to
accomodate for changes which are needed, but those don't qualify. Heck,
we had obvious syntax issues in bash scripts in earlier commits, plenty
of question marks, and even Steve didn't understand the resulting code
when trying to get me to rethink my decision a few hours ago.

The real pity here is that nobody addressed my early comments when there
was plenty of time. Like early this year, plenty of months ago.

See you next release cycle. The earlier, the better.
