This mail seems to be prompted by a series of seriously flawed assumptions:

  That one can force volunteers to do anything.

  That anyone on the TC would be foolish enough to try and tell any
  volunteer that they must do something that they are unwilling to do.

  That if we had more powers, and for some bizarre reason were willing
  to use them, that there is any chance of obtaining a 2/3 majority in
  favour of forcing source-less, buildtool-less packages into 'main'.
