Bill, you are the only person complaining, and your position is not clear.

The original request is to "soften the wording recommending menu files" and
everybody except you agrees to do so.

The wording has been made without your input, because you did not participate
constructively to that part of the discussion.  You only were throwing in
vague arguments and taking other people as strawmen.

I made efforts to keep the wording mild, but I think that it was an error.
>From your attiude as the lead person behind the Debian Menu, it is clear that
it has no future.  For one decade, you have taken no leadership to build this
future.  As a consequence, I think that the next step is to plan its
replacement and deprecation.  Maybe the TC will come to this conclusion.
